Recommended Software

We are often asked what software we use for our website development. Most of our web pages use WordPress because of the power it offers and the ease of use. It is primarily a blogging program but it also makes great web pages.

Our favorite theme for Word Press is FlexSqueeze. It is not a free program but it is well worth the cost.

Most of the software we use is from Serif, a British company. There software is high quality and a whole lot less expensive than the big boys. It does the job well and you can judge the quality by the graphics on our sites.

For drawings, animations, and building banners we use Serif’s DrawPlus.

For photo editing we use Serif’s PhotoPlus. My daughter, who is a photographer, uses it to edit her photos instead of PhotoShop.

Although we rarely use Serif’s WebPlus because we use WordPress for most of our sites, it is excellent web page layout software with many advanced features for those of you who want to do things for yourselves.

For creating advertizing material, bulletins, ebooks, and other items requiring page layout Serif’s PagePlus is hard to beat.

For videos Serif’s MoviePlus is our favorite.

We have been using Serif’s software since since 1993 and have found their programs always did the job we needed them to do. We even used it to develop graphics for a tee shirt business.
